Justin Tucker BAL K
Ravens' Justin Tucker: Working out, but status uncertain
3h agoTucker has been working out at Baltimore's training facility, and the Ravens are currently approaching the competition between him and rookie Tyler Loop "purely on football," Giana Han of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Tucker uncharacteristically struggled last year, converting just 22 of 30 field-goal attempts over 17 regular-season games. He's also currently under investigation by the NFL due to off-the-field allegations, and Han notes that Baltimore is still awaiting the results of that investigation. The Ravens selected Loop in the sixth round of April's Draft, suggesting that Tucker's role with the team is hazy considering the league's investigation and his unsatisfactory kicking last year.

Zay Flowers BAL WR
Ravens' Zay Flowers: Didn't need knee surgery
4h agoRavens head coach John Harbaugh said Saturday that Flowers didn't need surgery to fix the knee injury that ended his 2024 season, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Flowers wasn't able to participate in either of Baltimore's two playoff games last season due to a right knee sprain he suffered Week 18 against Cleveland. There was some concern that the talented wideout would need to undergo surgery, but that didn't end up being the case. As such, Flowers seems to be on track to be ready for that start of the 2025 season, when he'll look to further build upon his impressive 2024 campaign during which he caught 74 targets for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns over 17 regular-season contests.

Tyrion Davis-Price PHI RB
Tyrion Davis-Price: Cut by Philadelphia
4h agoThe Eagles waived Davis-Price on Saturday.
Davis-Price was a third-round selection of the 49ers in the 2022 NFL Draft. He hooked on with the Eagles last season and got into one game, rushing three times for seven yards. Philadelphia signed Davis-Price to a reserve/future contract this February, but he's now been let go to make room on the roster for undrafted free agent signee Giles Jackson.

Emery Jones Jr. BAL OT
Ravens' Emery Jones: Dealing with shoulder injury
4h agoJones may not take part in practice until training camp due to a shoulder injury, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Jones was a third-round selection by the Ravens in April's NFL Draft. The LSU product's injury doesn't appear likely to sideline him for any regular-season games, but it could delay his offseason program to some extent. If he's healthy for training camp, Jones will likely be competing for snaps at right guard.

BJ Thompson KC DE
BJ Thompson: Cut by KC, likely to return
7h agoThe Chiefs waived Thompson (chest) with a failed physical Saturday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Thompson was let go along with linebacker Blake Lynch in order to clear space for incoming undrafted free agents. However, Thompson is expected to clear waivers, in which case he'll return to the Chiefs on injured reserve, per Derrick. Thompson had a seizure and went into cardiac arrest during a team meeting last June and spent the campaign on the non-football illness list. He's continuing to rehab, and the Chiefs remain committed to helping him recover, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Blake Lynch KC LB
Blake Lynch: Let go by KC
7h agoThe Chiefs waived Lynch on Saturday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Lynch was let go along with defensive end BJ Thompson (chest) in order to clear space for incoming undrafted free agents. Lynch played in one game for Kansas City last season, tallying six tackles while playing 25 defensive snaps in the regular-season finale versus Denver. He hasn't had a significant role with an NFL club since playing in 16 regular-season contests and recording 2.0 sacks with Minnesota in 2021.

Chayce McDermott BAL SP
Orioles' Chayce McDermott: Activated and optioned
4m agoThe Orioles reinstated McDermott (lat) from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Baltimore has an opening in its rotation during the upcoming week after demoting Charlie Morton to the bullpen, but McDermott apparently isn't being viewed as a candidate to fill the void while he builds back up from the right lat strain that kept him out for all of spring training and the first month of the regular season. McDermott kicked off his rehab assignment with Double-A Chesapeake this past Sunday before moving up to Norfolk for his second start Saturday, when he struck out three over four scoreless innings. The 26-year-old righty tossed 57 pitches in that outing, but once he gets stretched out into the 75-to-90-pitch range at Triple-A, he could be a more realistic option for the big-league rotation.
-
Ranger Suarez PHI SP
Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Shelled in return
8m agoSuarez took a no-decision in Sunday's 11-9 extra-inning loss against Arizona, allowing seven runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out six.
After a sharp four-outing rehab stint that saw the Philadelphia southpaw pitch to a 1.08 ERA and 24:5 K:BB across 16.2 innings, Suarez unraveled in this 82-pitch outing. After cruising through two scoreless innings with four Ks, Suarez allowed three runs on three hits in the third inning. The Diamondbacks dropped four more runs on four hits in the next frame, chasing Suarez with two outs in the inning. The 29-year-old looks to bounce back in his next start, currently slated to be at Cleveland next weekend.
-
Eduardo Rodriguez ARI SP
Diamondbacks' Eduardo Rodriguez: Punches out 10 in no-decision
12m agoRodriguez did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 11-9 extra-inning win over the Phillies, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and four walks with 10 strikeouts over 5.1 innings.
The veteran southpaw notched his second double-digit strikeout performance of the season, producing 15 whiffs. Despite the solid number of Ks, Rodriguez struggled to find the zone, issuing a season-worst four free passes and throwing just 57 strikes out of 101 total pitches. After 38 innings, the 32-year-old's ERA now stands at 5.92; however, things have been better under the hood with a 4.03 FIP and 45:12 K:BB. Rodriguez is currently scheduled to make his next outing against the Dodgers at home this weekend.

Randy Arozarena SEA LF
Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Departs with hamstring injury
17m agoMariners manager Dan Wilson said that Arozarena was removed from Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Rangers prior to the bottom of the sixth inning due to "a little bit of a hamstring thing," but the skipper said the injury is "nothing serious," Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Arozarena started in left field before being replaced by Rhylan Thomas after singling in his final at-bat of the afternoon to finish 1-for-3 on the day. According to Jude, Arozarena seemed to tweak his hamstring while rounding first base on the single, but he was able to temporarily stay in the game. Seattle was trailing by five runs by the time Arozarena was lifted in the next half inning, so there could be merit to Wilson's claim that the outfielder's early exit was precautionary. The Mariners will return to action Monday in Sacramento against the Athletics.

Sal Frelick MIL RF
Brewers' Sal Frelick: Requires MRI for knee injury
23m agoBrewers manager Pat Murphy said after Sunday's 4-0 win over the Cubs that Frelick will undergo an MRI on his left knee, Sophia Minnaert of FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin reports.
Frelick flied out in the second inning and appeared to tweak his knee at one point during the plate appearance. He initially stayed in the game, but the Brewers pulled him from the contest prior to the fourth inning and attributed his early exit to left knee discomfort. The Brewers should have a firmer diagnosis available for Frelick once the results of the MRI are read, but the fact that he required additional testing wouldn't seem to bode well for his chances of being available for Monday's series opener versus the Astros.

Shota Imanaga CHC SP
Cubs' Shota Imanaga: MRI on hamstring on tap
26m agoCubs manager Craig Counsell said after Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Brewers that Imanaga will undergo an MRI on his strained left hamstring before a determination is made regarding whether he'll be able to make his next start, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Imanaga was cruising along nicely during his eighth start of the season before sustaining his injury while attempting to cover first base in the fifth inning. He exited the game and was ultimately dealt his second loss of the season after getting charged with two earned runs on four hits and one walk over his 5.2 frames. Counsell noted that Imanaga doesn't have a history of lower-body muscle strains from which to compare his injury, so the Cubs will send him in for imaging to glean more information about the severity of the hamstring issue. Imanaga tentatively lines up to make his next start against the Mets next weekend.

Gary Payton II GS PG
Warriors' Gary Payton: Ruled out for Game 7
9m agoPayton (illness) has been ruled out for Game 7 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Rockets on Sunday.
After starting in Game 6, Payton won't be on the floor Sunday due to an illness. With the defensive-minded guard set to watch from the bench, Golden State will likely pivot to Buddy Hield, Moses Moody and Pat Spencer to pick up the slack in the backcourt.
-
Darius Garland CLE PG
Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Remaining out Sunday
14m agoGarland (toe) has been ruled out for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinal-round series against the Pacers on Sunday, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Garland will miss his third consecutive postseason contest due to a sprained left great toe that he sustained near the end of the regular season. Sam Merrill will receive the starting nod due to Garland being sidelined. The star point guard's next chance to suit up will come in Game 2 on Tuesday.
-
Darius Garland CLE PG
Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Game-time call Sunday
1h agoHead coach Kenny Atkinson said that Garland (toe), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's Game 1 against the Pacers, will go through his pregame warmup and be a game-time decision, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Garland is in danger of missing his third straight game due to a lingering sprained left toe he sustained near the end of the regular season. If the star point guard remains sidelined, Sam Merrill will likely receive the starting nod once again. Garland was a full participant during Friday's practice, which bodes well for his chances of playing against Indiana on Sunday.
-
Jrue Holiday BOS PG
Celtics' Jrue Holiday: Off injury report for Game 1
2h agoHoliday (hamstring) is off the injury report for Monday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Knicks, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Holiday is set to return to action after missing the final three games of the opening round against the Magic due to a strained right hamstring. The veteran guard suited up in the first two games of the first round, during which he totaled 20 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, three steals and one block across 69 total minutes.

Trentyn Flowers LAC SF
Clippers' Trentyn Flowers: Plays six games in 2024-25
5h agoFlowers finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 1.8 points and 0.7 rebounds across 4.5 minutes per game in six regular-season outings.
Flowers signed a one-year, two-way deal with Los Angeles in July but spent a majority of his time with the Clippers' G League affiliate in San Diego, averaging 17.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.4 blocks across 30.8 minutes per game in 40 outings. The 20-year-old forward is set to become a restricted free agent ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
-
Patrick Baldwin Jr. LAC SF
Clippers' Patrick Baldwin: Limited run in 2024-25 campaign
5h agoBaldwin finished the 2024-25 campaign with averages of 2.2 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.5 three-pointers across a career-low 4.5 minutes per game in 24 regular-season appearances between the Clippers and the Wizards.
Baldwin began the season with Washington before being traded to, and subsequently waived by, San Antonio in February. However, the 22-year-old forward latched on with the Clippers via a two-year, two-way deal. Baldwin played a total of six minutes across two regular-season appearances with the Clippers. However, he averaged 17.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.6 three-pointers, 2.4 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals in 32.0 minutes per contest over 23 G League outings between the San Diego Clippers and Capital City Go-Go.
-
Logan Stanley WPG D
Jets' Logan Stanley: Not expected to play
2h agoStanley (undisclosed) isn't expected to play in Game 7 against St. Louis on Sunday, per Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.
Stanley didn't participate in Sunday's morning skate. He hasn't earned a point in five outings this postseason while contributing one shot on goal, six blocked shots, 10 hits and 42 PIM. Due to Stanley's absence, Haydn Fleury will likely be in the lineup for Sunday's winner-take-all matchup versus the Blues.
-
Joel Eriksson Ek MIN C
Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Undergoing surgery
3h agoEriksson Ek (abdomen) will have core muscle surgery this offseason but expects to be ready for the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports Sunday.
Eriksson Ek had been playing through the injury during the first round of the postseason, and he sustained a broken nose in Game 2 of Minnesota's six-game series loss to Vegas. The 28-year-old forward accumulated 14 goals, 29 points, 140 shots on net and 82 hits across 46 regular-season appearances before adding three assists in six playoff outings.
-
Tyler Tucker STL D
Blues' Tyler Tucker: Not playing Sunday
5h agoTucker (lower body) won't be an option for Game 7 against Winnipeg on Sunday, according to Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Tucker will miss his third straight game, and it's unclear when he will return to the lineup should St. Louis advance because he hasn't resumed skating yet. The 25-year-old defenseman has one goal, four shots on net, two blocked shots and 12 hits in three appearances this postseason. Due to Tucker's absence, Ryan Suter will likely remain in the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Jets.
-
Jordan Binnington STL G
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Defending crease in Game 7
5h agoBinnington will defend the road net versus Winnipeg on Sunday in Game 7, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Binnington has won three of his last four outings, including a 21-save effort in Friday's 5-2 victory over the Jets in Game 6. He has posted a 2.54 GAA and an .897 save percentage through six starts against Winnipeg this postseason. The winner of Sunday's matchup between St. Louis and Winnipeg will play against Dallas in the second round.
-
Mark Scheifele WPG C
Jets' Mark Scheifele: Unavailable Sunday
6h agoScheifele (undisclosed) won't play in Game 7 against St. Louis on Sunday, according to Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site.
Scheifele will miss his second straight game and will need his teammates to win to give him a chance to return this postseason. He has generated two goals, four assists, six shots on net, three blocked shots and nine hits through five appearances during Winnipeg's first-round series versus the Blues. Due to Scheifele's absence, Vladislav Namestnikov will remain on the team's top line for Sunday's matchup.
-
Connor Hellebuyck WPG G
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: In goal for Game 7
7h agoHellebuyck will patrol the home crease against St. Louis on Sunday in Game 7, per Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.
Hellebuyck allowed five goals on 23 shots in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Blues in Game 6 before Eric Comrie entered the contest in the third period. The 31-year-old Hellebuyck has a dismal 4.42 GAA and a troubling .815 save percentage through six starts this postseason. However, he has won his last three outings in Winnipeg, as the home team has taken every game in the series. The winner of Sunday's matchup will face Dallas in the second round.
