Blake Ferguson MIA LS
Blake Ferguson: Released by Miami
15h agoThe Dolphins released Ferguson on Thursday.
The 28-year-old long snapped appeared in just five regular-season games for Miami last season due to an illness that landed him on the reserve/NFI list. Ferguson has 72 career games of experience under his belt and will look to latch on elsewhere.

Popo Aumavae CAR DT
Popo Aumavae: Cut with injury designation
15h agoThe Panthers waived Aumavae (undisclosed) with an injury designation Thursday.
Aumavae was injured during training camp last season and spent the 2024 season on injured reserve in Carolina. The former undrafted free agent out of Oregon has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.
-
Jimmy Ciarlo NYJ LB
Jimmy Ciarlo: Waived with injury designation
15h agoThe Jets waived Ciarlo (knee) with an injury designation Thursday.
Ciarlo missed the entire 2024 season with a knee injury, and he's still not healthy. The 24-year-old linebackers has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, Ciarlo will revert to the Jets' injured reserve list.

Victor Dimukeje NYG LB
Giants' Victor Dimukeje: Suffers torn pec
15h agoDimukeje suffered a torn pectoral muscle during offseason workouts and will be sidelined indefinitely, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
After recording 4.0 sacks in 2023 for the Cardinals, Dimukeje appeared in 11 regular-season games for Arizona last season but recorded just 15 tackles (nine solo) and one forced fumble on 158 defensive snaps. Dimukeje inked a one-year deal with the Giants back in March. His status for Week 1 is now in question.

Micah Bernard 2005 RB
Titans' Micah Bernard: Finds work with Tennessee
15h agoThe Titans signed Bernard as an undrafted free agent Thursday.
Bernard spent six years at Utah but had his best season in 2024, rushing 197 times for 1,009 yards and four touchdowns. He added 30 catches for 150 yards and two additional scores as a receiver. Bernard will turn 24 years old later this fall. He'll attempt to push sixth-round rookie Kalel Mullings for a spot on the Titans' roster behind Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears and Julius Chestnut.

T.J. Luther CAR WR
T.J. Luther: Dumped by Carolina
15h agoThe Panthers waived Luther on Thursday.
Luther inked a futures deal with Carolina after the regular season ended but will now be looking for his fifth NFL team since entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of Gardner-Webb back in 2023. He's yet to appear in a regular-season game.

Edwin Uceta TB RP
Rays' Edwin Uceta: Surrenders three earned runs
13m agoUceta allowed three earned runs on four hits across 0.2 innings Thursday against the Phillies.
Uceta was viewed as one of the top setup men entering the season, but he hasn't lived up to that billing in the first six weeks of action. He's allowed at least one earned run in five of his 17 appearances this season, but more concerningly has only a 13:6 K:BB across 15.2 frames. Nevertheless, Uceta leads the team with six holds, so he remains trusted in high-leverage spots.

Ryan Weathers MIA SP
Marlins' Ryan Weathers: Five scoreless in rehab start
14m agoWeathers (forearm) yielded two hits and no walks over five scoreless frames in his last rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday.
Weathers struck out three in the outing while averaging 97.8 mph and topping out at 99.2 mph with his four-seamer. The lefty has permitted only two runs with a 13:4 K:BB over 10.2 innings in his three rehab starts. Weathers certainly appears ready to rejoin the Marlins' rotation, although with a pitch count of just 57 on Thursday, it's possible he'll be asked to get stretched out a bit more. If he does make his next start with the big club, it could come as soon as Tuesday at Wrigley Field.

Tim Elko CHW 1B
White Sox's Tim Elko: Mashing at Triple-A
23m agoElko is slashing .348/.431/.670 with 10 home runs and a 28.5 percent strikeout rate in 31 games for Triple-A Charlotte.
Elko is a righty-hitting first baseman who is already 26, so it's possible he's just a Quad-A hitter when it's all said and done. His 27.6 percent hard-hit rate and 67 percent contact rate aren't great marks, especially for an older first baseman. Elko is not yet on Chicago's 40-man roster.
-
Otto Kemp PHI 3B
Phillies' Otto Kemp: Hot start at Triple-A
26m agoKemp is slashing .331/.423/.662 with 10 home runs, five steals and a 27 percent strikeout rate in 35 games for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Kemp has started 19 games at third base, seven games at first base and six games at second base while logging the second-highest wRC+ (184) in the International League. His .419 BABIP illustrates how fortunate Kemp has been in the early going, but he's nonetheless looking ready for his first taste of the majors if the Phillies deal with any injuries to their infield.

Yariel Rodriguez TOR RP
Blue Jays' Yariel Rodriguez: Dazzles in relief Thursday
41m agoRodriguez picked up his fourth hold of the season in Thursday's win over the Angels, allowing one hit and striking out five over two scoreless innings.
The 28-year-old right-hander needed only 29 pitches (20 strikes) to record his six outs, as Rodriguez helped give the Blue Jays' usual high-leverage options a breather by working the seventh and eighth innings. He may be joining that group himself -- Rodriguez has recorded a hold in back-to-back appearances, and over his last nine outings and 12.1 innings he's posted a 2.92 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB.
-
Daulton Varsho TOR CF
Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Launches third homer
45m agoVarsho went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Thursday's win over the Angels.
The center fielder crushed a Connor Brogdon changeup down the right-field line for a solo shot in the eighth inning, giving Varsho his third homer in seven games since making a delayed season debut after completing his recovery from shoulder surgery. He's batting .273 (6-for-22) with one steal, four runs and six RBI. and while Jays manager John Schneider has eased him back into the lineup -- Varsho has yet to start back-to-back games in May -- the Gold Glover appears ready to handle a full workload.
-
Darius Garland CLE PG
Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Present at shootaround
4m agoGarland (toe) is officially listed as questionable for Friday's Game 3 against the Pacers but was present during Cleveland's morning shootaround, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports.
Garland has missed four straight games due to a sprained left great toe. However, he's trending in the right direction, along with De'Andre Hunter (thumb) and Evan Mobley (ankle), as they all missed the team's shootaround ahead of Game 2 before watching the 120-119 loss in street clothes.
-
Evan Mobley CLE PF
Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Present at shootaround
9m agoMobley (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Friday's Game 3 against the Pacers but was present during the Cavaliers' morning shootaround, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports.
Mobley, Darius Garland (toe) and De'Andre Hunter (thumb) were all present and got shots up after the practice, which wasn't the case ahead of Cleveland's Game 2 loss. Mobley posted 20 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 36 minutes during the 121-112 Game 1 loss but twisted his left ankle during the contest and is in danger of missing a second straight contest.
-
Anthony Edwards MIN SG
Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Will return Thursday
13h agoEdwards (ankle) is available to return to Thursday's Game 2 against the Warriors.
Edwards will start the second half after being helped off the court in the second quarter due to a sprained left ankle. The superstar was moving well during his halftime warmup and will likely be able to shoulder his normal workload the rest of the way.
-
Anthony Edwards MIN SG
Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Questionable to return
13h agoEdwards is questionable to return to Thursday's Game 2 against the Warriors due to a left ankle sprain.
Edwards walked gingerly to the locker room during the second quarter after getting stepped on by an opposing player on a play under the basket, and he's been officially diagnosed with an ankle sprain. He'll presumably test his ankle during halftime to determine whether a return is possible.
-
Anthony Edwards MIN SG
Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Exits to locker room Thursday
14h agoEdwards exited to the locker room after sustaining an apparent left ankle injury during the second quarter of Thursday's Game 2 against the Warriors, Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic reports.
Edwards drove to the basket, and an opposing player landed on his left ankle, causing him to stay down for an extended period. The superstar was seemingly in a considerable amount of pain and was helped to the locker room, limping down the tunnel. If Edwards is unable to return, Donte DiVincenzo and Nickeil Alexander-Walker are candidates for an uptick in playing time.
-
Quinten Post GS PF
Warriors' Quinten Post: Starting in Game 2
15h agoPost is in the starting lineup for Thursday's Game 2 against the Timberwolves, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
The Warriors will elect to roll with a larger starting five in the absence of Stephen Curry (hamstring), moving Draymond Green to power forward and Jimmy Butler to small forward. Post will presumably be much more involved Thursday after a quiet performance in Game 1, when he logged one rebound in six minutes of action.
-
K'Andre Miller NYR D
Rangers' K'Andre Miller: Goes under the knife
8m agoMiller reportedly had surgery to repair an upper-body injury but will be ready for the start of the 2025-26 campaign, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports Friday.
As a restricted free agent, Miller will need a new contract this year before he can return to the lineup -- in addition to recovering from his upper-body injury. Based on the report, it sounds like Miller may not be 100 percent during training camp but should be available for Opening Night of the 2025-26 campaign.

Noah Hanifin LV D
Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Plucks apple in Game 2 loss
8h agoHanifin notched an assist, four shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Hanifin ended a four-game slump with the helper on Alex Pietrangelo's game-tying tally in the third period. Over eight playoff outings, Hanifin has a goal, three assists, 21 shots on net, 16 blocked shots, 13 hits and a minus-2 rating. He's playing in a top-four role and should continue to see heavy defensive minutes throughout the second round as he tries to neutralize the Oilers' offense.
-
Mark Stone LV RW
Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Adds two power-play helpers
9h agoStone logged two power-play assists in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Stone has two goals and two assists over the first two contests in the second round. The winger is up to four goals, eight points (three on the power play), 19 shots on net, nine hits, 10 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over eight playoff outings. While he struggled to score early in the postseason, the Golden Knights' leaky defense and goaltending has undermined Stone's productive offense of late.
-
Jack Eichel LV C
Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Distributes three helpers
9h agoEichel logged three assists, including two on the power play, and three shots on goal in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Eichel had a hand in both of Victor Olofsson's tallies as well as a William Karlsson goal. The 28-year-old Eichel has a goal and eight helpers during his five-game point streak after shaking off a three-game skid to open the postseason. He's added 24 shots on net, 14 hits, nine blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through eight playoff outings. Eichel will have his work cut out for him as he tries to lead the Golden Knights out of a 2-0 deficit in this second-round series.
-
William Karlsson LV C
Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Scores in Game 2 loss
9h agoKarlsson scored a goal in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Karlsson was officially back on the third line for this contest after a stint on the top line. However, his goal came on an assist from Jack Eichel late in the second period. Karlsson's a reliable veteran, so he should get his chances regardless of his place in the lineup. He's at two goals, two assists, 12 shots on net, six blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over eight playoff contests.
-
Alex Pietrangelo LV D
Golden Knights' Alex Pietrangelo: Two points in return
9h agoPietrangelo scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, blocked two shots and went minus-2 in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Pietrangelo's third-period tally forced overtime, but the Golden Knights weren't able to complete the comeback. He missed the opening game of the second round due to an illness, but he's apparently fine now after logging 25:38 of ice time Thursday. The defenseman has five points, 11 shots on net, six hits, 17 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over seven playoff outings.
