Blake Ferguson MIA LS
Blake Ferguson: Released by Miami
10h agoThe Dolphins released Ferguson on Thursday.
The 28-year-old long snapped appeared in just five regular-season games for Miami last season due to an illness that landed him on the reserve/NFI list. Ferguson has 72 career games of experience under his belt and will look to latch on elsewhere.

Popo Aumavae CAR DT
Popo Aumavae: Cut with injury designation
10h agoThe Panthers waived Aumavae (undisclosed) with an injury designation Thursday.
Aumavae was injured during training camp last season and spent the 2024 season on injured reserve in Carolina. The former undrafted free agent out of Oregon has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game.
-
Jimmy Ciarlo NYJ LB
Jimmy Ciarlo: Waived with injury designation
10h agoThe Jets waived Ciarlo (knee) with an injury designation Thursday.
Ciarlo missed the entire 2024 season with a knee injury, and he's still not healthy. The 24-year-old linebackers has yet to appear in a regular-season NFL game. If he goes unclaimed on waivers, Ciarlo will revert to the Jets' injured reserve list.

Victor Dimukeje NYG LB
Giants' Victor Dimukeje: Suffers torn pec
10h agoDimukeje suffered a torn pectoral muscle during offseason workouts and will be sidelined indefinitely, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
After recording 4.0 sacks in 2023 for the Cardinals, Dimukeje appeared in 11 regular-season games for Arizona last season but recorded just 15 tackles (nine solo) and one forced fumble on 158 defensive snaps. Dimukeje inked a one-year deal with the Giants back in March. His status for Week 1 is now in question.

Micah Bernard 2005 RB
Titans' Micah Bernard: Finds work with Tennessee
10h agoThe Titans signed Bernard as an undrafted free agent Thursday.
Bernard spent six years at Utah but had his best season in 2024, rushing 197 times for 1,009 yards and four touchdowns. He added 30 catches for 150 yards and two additional scores as a receiver. Bernard will turn 24 years old later this fall. He'll attempt to push sixth-round rookie Kalel Mullings for a spot on the Titans' roster behind Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears and Julius Chestnut.

T.J. Luther CAR WR
T.J. Luther: Dumped by Carolina
10h agoThe Panthers waived Luther on Thursday.
Luther inked a futures deal with Carolina after the regular season ended but will now be looking for his fifth NFL team since entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of Gardner-Webb back in 2023. He's yet to appear in a regular-season game.

Brenton Doyle COL CF
Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Tallies fourth steal
4h agoDoyle went 1-for-7 with a walk and a stolen base across both games of Thursday's doubleheader against the Tigers.
Doyle has had a bumpy start to the season, as he's battled inconsistency at the plate and also been on and off the field for both personal reasons and a quadriceps injury. He's been in the lineup consistently since April 26, though he's now gone just 6-for-49 with three RBI and three runs scored across 12 games in that span. Doyle did manage his fourth steal of the season Thursday and has yet to be caught.
-
Taylor Walls TB SS
Rays' Taylor Walls: Chips in offensively
4h agoWalls went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and was caught stealing in Thursday's game against the Phillies.
Walls started his fifth straight game at shortstop and has gone 7-for-17 at the plate in that span. He also has four runs scored in that span, while raising his average to .205. As the latter number indicates, Walls is a light hitter, limiting his fantasy appeal even if he continues to get consistent at-bats.
-
Alec Bohm PHI 3B
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Continues to hit for average
4h agoBohm went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Thursday's 7-6 extra-inning victory over the Rays.
Through his first seven games of the month of May, Bohm is batting .308 with one home run, one double, four RBI and four runs scored over 26 at-bats. The corner infielder hasn't hit for much power overall in 2025, but he's batting .304 (24-for-79) across his last 21 outings. Bohm began the season in the top half of Philadelphia's lineup, but he'll likely stick in the lower part of the batting order unless he starts to supply more pop.
-
Yandy Diaz TB DH
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Pops sixth homer
4h agoDiaz went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Thursday against the Phillies.
Diaz slotted into the leadoff spot for the second straight game since returning from a hip injury -- both of which came against lefties. He popped his sixth home run of the season in the seventh inning, his third in his last seven games. Diaz now has a .174 ISO across 163 plate appearances, which would be good for the second-highest mark of his career.

Matt Strahm PHI RP
Phillies' Matt Strahm: Second save in extra innings
4h agoStrahm picked up the save in Thursday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Rays after allowing one unearned run on two hits in the 10th inning. He struck out two.
It was the second save of the year for Strahm, who was brought in to work the 10th frame after closer Jose Alvarado kept the game tied in the ninth inning. While Strahm began the season with a scoreless streak of 6.1 innings, he has a 4.82 ERA over his last 9.1 frames and has seen just three save chances overall this year. The southpaw is still one of Philadelphia's top left-handed relievers, but Strahm remains behind Alvarado in the bullpen pecking order when it comes to ninth-inning work.
-
Chad Green TOR RP
Blue Jays' Chad Green: Records first save Thursday
5h agoGreen picked up the save in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Angels after throwing a clean ninth inning. He struck out two.
Closer Jeff Hoffman, who had worked each of the past two days and gave up six runs across those outings, unsurprisingly didn't get the call in Thursday's save situation, and it was Green who recorded his first save of the year. Setup man Yimi Garcia has also struggled lately, having yielded seven runs over his last two appearances, but Green is still unlikely to see more than the occasional save opportunity while Toronto's top two bullpen arms work to get back on track. Through 17.1 innings in 2025, Green holds a 3.63 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB.

Anthony Edwards MIN SG
Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Will return Thursday
8h agoEdwards (ankle) is available to return to Thursday's Game 2 against the Warriors.
Edwards will start the second half after being helped off the court in the second quarter due to a sprained left ankle. The superstar was moving well during his halftime warmup and will likely be able to shoulder his normal workload the rest of the way.
-
Anthony Edwards MIN SG
Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Questionable to return
9h agoEdwards is questionable to return to Thursday's Game 2 against the Warriors due to a left ankle sprain.
Edwards walked gingerly to the locker room during the second quarter after getting stepped on by an opposing player on a play under the basket, and he's been officially diagnosed with an ankle sprain. He'll presumably test his ankle during halftime to determine whether a return is possible.
-
Anthony Edwards MIN SG
Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Exits to locker room Thursday
9h agoEdwards exited to the locker room after sustaining an apparent left ankle injury during the second quarter of Thursday's Game 2 against the Warriors, Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic reports.
Edwards drove to the basket, and an opposing player landed on his left ankle, causing him to stay down for an extended period. The superstar was seemingly in a considerable amount of pain and was helped to the locker room, limping down the tunnel. If Edwards is unable to return, Donte DiVincenzo and Nickeil Alexander-Walker are candidates for an uptick in playing time.
-
Quinten Post GS PF
Warriors' Quinten Post: Starting in Game 2
10h agoPost is in the starting lineup for Thursday's Game 2 against the Timberwolves, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
The Warriors will elect to roll with a larger starting five in the absence of Stephen Curry (hamstring), moving Draymond Green to power forward and Jimmy Butler to small forward. Post will presumably be much more involved Thursday after a quiet performance in Game 1, when he logged one rebound in six minutes of action.
-
De'Andre Hunter CLE SF
Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Iffy for Game 3
15h agoHunter (thumb) is considered questionable for Friday's Game 3 against the Pacers, Evan Dammarell of DownEuclid.com reports.
Hunter is in danger of missing his second straight contest Friday due to a dislocated right thumb he suffered in Game 1. If Hunter is ruled out yet again, Dean Wade, Javonte Green and Isaac Okoro should continue to receive increased playing time against Indiana.
-
Darius Garland CLE PG
Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Questionable for Game 3
16h agoGarland (toe) is deemed questionable for Friday's Game 3 against the Pacers, Evan Dammarell of DownEuclid.com reports.
Garland is in danger of missing his fifth straight contest Friday due to a sprained left great toe. If Garland is forced to sit out yet again, Ty Jerome and Sam Merrill should continue to receive increased playing time.

Noah Hanifin LV D
Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Plucks apple in Game 2 loss
4h agoHanifin notched an assist, four shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Hanifin ended a four-game slump with the helper on Alex Pietrangelo's game-tying tally in the third period. Over eight playoff outings, Hanifin has a goal, three assists, 21 shots on net, 16 blocked shots, 13 hits and a minus-2 rating. He's playing in a top-four role and should continue to see heavy defensive minutes throughout the second round as he tries to neutralize the Oilers' offense.
-
Mark Stone LV RW
Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Adds two power-play helpers
4h agoStone logged two power-play assists in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Stone has two goals and two assists over the first two contests in the second round. The winger is up to four goals, eight points (three on the power play), 19 shots on net, nine hits, 10 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over eight playoff outings. While he struggled to score early in the postseason, the Golden Knights' leaky defense and goaltending has undermined Stone's productive offense of late.
-
Jack Eichel LV C
Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Distributes three helpers
4h agoEichel logged three assists, including two on the power play, and three shots on goal in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Eichel had a hand in both of Victor Olofsson's tallies as well as a William Karlsson goal. The 28-year-old Eichel has a goal and eight helpers during his five-game point streak after shaking off a three-game skid to open the postseason. He's added 24 shots on net, 14 hits, nine blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through eight playoff outings. Eichel will have his work cut out for him as he tries to lead the Golden Knights out of a 2-0 deficit in this second-round series.
-
William Karlsson LV C
Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Scores in Game 2 loss
4h agoKarlsson scored a goal in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Karlsson was officially back on the third line for this contest after a stint on the top line. However, his goal came on an assist from Jack Eichel late in the second period. Karlsson's a reliable veteran, so he should get his chances regardless of his place in the lineup. He's at two goals, two assists, 12 shots on net, six blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over eight playoff contests.
-
Alex Pietrangelo LV D
Golden Knights' Alex Pietrangelo: Two points in return
4h agoPietrangelo scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, blocked two shots and went minus-2 in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Pietrangelo's third-period tally forced overtime, but the Golden Knights weren't able to complete the comeback. He missed the opening game of the second round due to an illness, but he's apparently fine now after logging 25:38 of ice time Thursday. The defenseman has five points, 11 shots on net, six hits, 17 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over seven playoff outings.
-
Victor Olofsson LV RW
Golden Knights' Victor Olofsson: Three-point burst in loss
4h agoOlofsson scored two power-play goals on four shots and added an assist in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Olofsson played a massive role in the Golden Knights' offense, but it still wasn't enough. His goals were his first playoff tallies in his career. The 29-year-old winger is at four points, 11 shots on net, eight hits and a minus-2 rating over six playoff appearances. Given his success in Game 2, it's unlikely he'll be exiting the lineup if the Golden Knights change their forward units for Game 3 in Edmonton on Saturday.
