Elgton Jenkins GB C
Packers' Elgton Jenkins: Not attending workouts
15h agoJenkins is skipping Green Bay's offseason workouts, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports.
While Jenkins has recovered from the shoulder injury he suffered during the team's wild-card loss to the Eagles in January, the 26-year-old is holding out due to a contract dispute. Jenkins could be moved from guard to center for the upcoming season, and while he has two years left on his current deal, he's looking for some additional security in exchange.

Jadon Janke GB WR
Packers' Jadon Janke: Signs with Packers
15h agoThe Packers signed Janke on Wednesday.
Janke spent time with both the Texans and Dolphins during the 2024 offseason but has yet to appear in an NFL game. He will face an uphill battle to make Green Bay's final roster and could be a candidate to land on the practice squad.
-
Jabari Small 2005 RB
Jabari Small: Let go by Titans
15h agoThe Titans waived Small on Wednesday, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
Small joined Tennessee as an undrafted free agent ahead of the 2024 campaign and spent the majority of last season on the practice squad. He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Trayveon Williams NE RB
Patriots' Trayveon Williams: Lands with Patriots
15h agoThe Patriots signed Williams on Wednesday.
Williams spent the first six seasons of his career with the Bengals. He didn't record a single offensive touch during the 2024 campaign as he played almost exclusively on special teams and will likely have a similar role with New England should he win a spot on their gameday roster.

Quintin Morris BUF TE
Jaguars' Quintin Morris: Signs with Jacksonville
15h agoMorris signed a one-year deal with the Jaguars on Wednesday, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
Morris is headed to Jacksonville after hauling in five passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in 16 regular-season games for the Bills last season. The 26-year-old can add value as both a blocker and on special teams.

Jayden Reed GB WR
Packers' Jayden Reed: Bulks up in offseason
20h agoPackers passing game coordinator Jason Vrable said Wednesday that Reed (shoulder) has bulked up to 199 pounds this offseason and is acting as a leader in the wide receiver room, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Reed's playing weight was listed at 187 pounds last season, so if he's able to retain his quickness despite adding bulk, additional muscle will boost his odds of managing a Year 3 breakout. General manager Brian Gutekunst said that the team still views Reed as its "top receiver" despite drafting Matthew Golden (23rd overall) and Savion Williams (87th overall) in the first three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, but it's nonetheless difficult to project exactly how much target volume the slot specialist will be able to demand in what now looks like one of the league's more crowded WR rooms. Reed has managed to lead Green Bay in both receptions and receiving yards in his first two seasons in the league, but he's not yet strung together a 1,000-yard season. He was forced out of the team's playoff loss to Philadelphia early due to a dislocated shoulder, but Reed was able to avoid surgery and offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said he "looks great" at voluntary practices.

Jose Tena WAS 3B
Nationals' Jose Tena: Bangs out two doubles in win
9m agoTena went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Mets.
The 24-year-old has been filling in at second base the last two games while Luis Garcia (paternity leave) has been away from the team, leaving third base to Amed Rosario. Tena should shift back to the strong side of a platoon at the hot corner once Garcia is back, but his hold on the job may be tenuous. Through 10 games in May, Tena is batting just .214 (6-for-28) with one steal, one run and three RBI, and he's still looking for his first homer of 2025.

Chayce McDermott BAL SP
Orioles' Chayce McDermott: Sent back down after spot start
11m agoThe Orioles optioned McDermott to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.
McDermott was up as the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Twins, starting the second game and allowing four runs over three innings. The right-hander will rejoin the rotation at Norfolk and wait for another opportunity with the big club.
-
Jose Ferrer WAS RP
Nationals' Jose Ferrer: Collects first win
13m agoFerrer (1-2) picked up the win Wednesday over the Mets, striking out one in 1.1 scoreless innings of relief.
The southpaw became the pitcher of record when the Nationals rallied for two runs in the seventh inning and two more in the eighth to erase a 4-1 deficit. Ferrer has been prone to blowups this season, most recently surrendering five runs in one-third of an inning against the Guardians on May 6, but he continues to see high-leverage opportunities in a Washington bullpen that lacks better options. Through 22 innings this season, Ferrer carries a 6.95 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB with nine holds in 22 appearances.

Matt Svanson STL RP
Cardinals' Matt Svanson: Heads back to Triple-A
13m agoThe Cardinals optioned Svanson to Triple-A Memphis on Thursday.
The reliever was returned to Triple-A after he had been called up to serve as the Cardinals' 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader in Philadelphia. He was used for the final inning of the Cardinals' 14-7 win in Game 2, striking out the side on 14 pitches.

TJ Friedl CIN CF
Reds' TJ Friedl: Eyeing return to lineup Friday
20m agoFriedl (wrist) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox.
Friedl is tending to a bone bruise in his right wrist, an injury he suffered in Tuesday's 5-1 loss. The Reds held him out of the lineup for Wednesday's 4-2 loss, though manager Terry Francona told Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News that Friedl was available off the bench to pinch run or play defense. Friedl will remain limited to a bench role for the second day in a row because the wrist issue is still making it difficult for him to hit comfortably, but Francona expressed hope that the 29-year-old would be back in action for Friday's series opener versus the Guardians. Will Benson will cover center field in Frield's place Thursday.

Chase Meidroth CHW SS
White Sox's Chase Meidroth: Receiving afternoon off
28m agoMeidroth is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.
Meidroth will get some rest in Thursday's day game after he had started in each of the last four games while going 4-for-16 with a double, two walks, two runs and one RBI. Jacob Amaya will replace Meidroth at shortstop in the series finale in Cincinnati, while third baseman Miguel Vargas elevates to the leadoff spot.

Luke Kornet BOS C
Celtics' Luke Kornet: Outstanding in Game 5 victory
9m agoKornet closed Wednesday's 127-102 victory over New York in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 10 points (5-5 FG), nine rebounds, one assist, seven blocks and one steal in 26 minutes.
Kornet started the second half since Kristaps Porzingis was ineffective, and he ended up dazzling while also sniffing a triple-double -- he finished just one rebound and three blocks from doing so. Don't be surprised if Kornet receives a bigger role in the rest of the series against New York, and that should translate directly into a marked increase of his fantasy upside.
-
Jaylen Brown BOS SF
Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Comes close to triple-double
10m agoBrown ended with 26 points (9-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), eight rebounds, 12 assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 127-102 win over the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
The Knicks aimed to slow Brown down in the absence of Jayson Tatum (Achilles), and while his scoring numbers weren't as eye-popping as Derrick White's, his overall stat line was impressive. Brown emerged as a reliable facilitator and dished out 12 dimes while ending just two boards shy of what would've been his first triple-double of the current postseason. The Celtics need Brown to be at his best if they're going to erase the 3-2 deficit and set up a rematch against the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. Brown is averaging 21.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 0.8 steals per game in the current series against the Knicks.
-
Derrick White BOS SG
Celtics' Derrick White: Shines in win over New York
12m agoWhite ended Wednesday's 127-102 victory over the Knicks in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 34 points (9-16 FG, 7-13 3Pt, 9-11 FT), three rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 40 minutes.
This was the first game without Jayson Tatum (Achilles) for the Celtics, and even though Jaylen Brown was widely expected to step up, it was White who ended up leading the team in scoring. His growth during the current postseason run has been impressive to watch, and it wouldn't be surprising if he continues to have a steady role as a premier scoring option for Boston solely based on the defensive matchups. White is averaging 22.6 points per game in the current series against New York while shooting 45.2 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from beyond the arc.
-
Karl-Anthony Towns NY C
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Double-double streak ends Wednesday
14m agoTowns chipped in 19 points (5-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-9 FT), eight rebounds, one block and one steal across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 127-102 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Towns finished just two rebounds shy of recording another double-double, and that means his streak of games with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds ended at six contests. The star big man also snapped a streak of three games with at least 20 points, but one subpar showing shouldn't erase what he's been doing throughout the playoffs. Towns is averaging 19.6 points and 12.8 boards per game in the current series against Boston and should play a pivotal role on the team in Game 5 on Friday.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: Solid output in loss Wednesday
16m agoHart recorded 24 points (7-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds and two assists over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 127-102 loss to the Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Hart not only led the Knicks in scoring in this Game 5 loss, but he also delivered his best scoring output of the entire postseason run. This was a huge bounce-back performance for the veteran, who had been struggling with his shot in his previous two outings -- he scored a combined 16 points while shooting 5-for-16 from the floor in Games 3 and 4. Hart is averaging 15.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game through his five outings in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
-
Buddy Hield GS SF
Warriors' Buddy Hield: Muted performance in loss
23m agoHield closed Wednesday's 121-110 loss to Minnesota in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals with eight points (2-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two steals across 30 minutes.
Hield certainly had some strong moments in the playoffs, but he closed out the final two games shooting a combined 6-of-20 from the field. As for the regular season, it's no secret that he had his struggles in his first campaign with the team. He appeared in all 82 games, posting averages of 11.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.5 three-pointers on 41.7 percent from the field. The guard is under contract with the team for two more years with a player option for a third.

Anthony Stolarz TOR G
Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Doubtful Friday
34m agoStolarz (upper body) is unlikely to travel to Florida for Game 6 on Friday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.
Head coach Craig Berube said Thursday that he doubts Stolarz will make the trip. That would put Joseph Woll in line to start his fourth straight game for the Leafs, who trail the Panthers 3-2 in the best-of-seven series. Stolarz has been skating but is unlikely to return to action unless Toronto manages to play in the Eastern Conference Finals.
-
Clay Stevenson WAS G
Capitals' Clay Stevenson: Called up from minors
1h agoStevenson was recalled from AHL Hershey on Thursday.
Stevenson's elevation to the NHL roster could be an indication that Logan Thompson or Charlie Lindgren is in danger of missing out against the Hurricanes in Game 5 on Thursday. The Bears aren't in action until Friday's clash with Charlotte, so there is still time for Stevenson to head back down if he's not needed by the Caps.
-
Matt Murray TOR G
Maple Leafs' Matt Murray: Needed in relief in Game 5
1h agoMurray turned aside six of seven shots Wednesday after replacing Joseph Woll early in the third period of the Maple Leafs' 6-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 5 of their second-round series.
The lopsided result should be laid firmly at the feet of Toronto's defensive effort, as neither goalie had much chance at any of the pucks that got past them. Anthony Stolarz (upper body) hasn't played since Game 1, and if he's not ready to return in Game 6 on Friday, it's at least possible the desperate Leafs turn to Murray between the pipes as they attempt to avoid elimination.
-
Joseph Woll TOR G
Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Hung out to dry in Game 5
1h agoWoll stopped 20 of 25 shots Wednesday before being replaced by Matt Murray early in the third period of the Maple Leafs' 6-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 5 of their second-round series.
Woll made some big saves early before the game slipped away from Toronto, but by the time he got the hook his frustration with the lack of defensive help he was getting was evident. Since taking over the crease from Anthony Stolarz (upper body) in Game 1 of the series, Woll has a 4.02 GAA and .877 save percentage, and the Leafs are staring down the barrel of elimination in Game 6 on Friday.
-
Aaron Ekblad FLA D
Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Two-point effort in Game 5 win
1h agoEkblad produced an even-strength goal and a power-play assist Wednesday in the Panthers' 6-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 5 of their second-round series.
The 29-year-old blueliner opened the scoring late in the first period, snapping a shot top shelf through traffic on Joseph Woll. Ekblad extended his playoff point streak to five games in the process, and he has two goals and six points in his six appearances for Florida this postseason while adding 22 PIM, 18 hits, 15 shots on net, six blocked shots and a plus-1 rating.
-
Jesper Boqvist FLA LW
Panthers' Jesper Boqvist: Two points in return to lineup
1h agoBoqvist scored a goal and added an assist Wednesday in the Panthers' 6-1 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 5 of their second-round series.
After being a healthy scratch for Games 3 and 4, the 26-year-old wasted little time in making an impact as he helped set up an Aaron Ekblad tally late in the first period that opened the scoring. Boqvist then potted his first goal this postseason in the second frame, tapping home a slick feed from Sam Reinhart. Boqvist skated in a top-six role at even strength with Evan Rodrigues (undisclosed) unavailable, which could make him an intriguing DFS option Friday for Game 6 if Rodrigues is sidelined once again.
