George Pickens PIT WR
Steelers' George Pickens: Deal to Cowboys being finalized
1m agoThe Steelers are reportedly finalizing a trade to send Pickens to the Cowboys, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Per Schefter, the deal -- which is expected to be completed Wednesday -- would result in the Cowboys sending a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round choice to the Steelers in exchange for Pickens and a 2026 sixth-round pick. With Dallas, the 24-year-old Pickens, who is coming off a 2024 regular season in which he recorded 59 catches (on 103 targets) for 900 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games, would provide QB Dak Prescott with another quality wideout target to work alongside CeeDee Lamb, who's coming off a 101-catch campaign.

Alex Singleton DEN LB
Broncos' Alex Singleton: Should be ready for regular season
12h agoSingleton (knee) is expected to be healthy for the start of the regular season, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Singleton tore his ACL during the team's Week 3 win over the Buccaneers last season but is close to being ready to make his return. If healthy for the the start of the regular season, the 31-year-old will likely serve as one of Denver's starting linebackers.

Derek Carr NO QB
Saints' Derek Carr: Shoulder situation remains murky
13h agoCarr (shoulder) has been to New Orleans twice in recent weeks to meet with the Saints' team doctor, Jane Slater of NFL Network reports.
Carr ended the 2025 season on the sidelines with a broken left hand and an oblique injury that he suffered in Week 14 against the Giants, but it has now come to light that his current shoulder issue stems from that same game. The quarterback apparently didn't notice the injury to his throwing shoulder when he was shut down from throwing while recovering from the aforementioned injuries. Once he began ramping up for the team's spring program, he noticed the shoulder issue. Carr has yet to make a decision on if he'll undergo surgery on the ailing shoulder and his availability for the 2025 campaign remains unclear, but a decision is expected to be made in the near future.

B.J. Hill CIN DE
Bengals' B.J. Hill: Spotted with boot
13h agoHill (foot) was spotted with a boot on his left foot at the Bengals' voluntary workouts Tuesday , Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Hill signed a three-year contract with the Bengals in March after posting 56 total tackles (25 solo), including 3.0 sacks, while also adding four passes defensed over 15 regular-season games with the team in 2024. The defensive tackle is now dealing with an unspecified left foot injury and it's unclear if it'll cause him to miss Cincinnati's OTAs later this month.

Braden Fiske LAR DT
Rams' Braden Fiske: Looking explosive in recovery
19h agoFiske (knee) has resumed participating in some on-field workouts and said Tuesday he feels in "really good spot" in his recovery from offseason surgery, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Fiske required a minor offseason procedure to address the knee injury he sustained during the Rams' NFC divisional-round loss to the Eagles, but a video posted by the team Tuesday shows the 2024 second-round pick already demonstrating mobility and burst during on-field workouts. Fresh off an impressive debut campaign in which he led all rookies with 8.5 sacks during the regular season, Fiske appears on track to enter Year 2 at full strength and remain a difference maker for Los Angeles' defense.

Pierre Strong Jr. CLE RB
Browns' Pierre Strong: Heads in last year of rookie deal
20h agoAs the Browns' OTAs approach, Strong is slated to compete for slotting in a backfield that includes returnee Jerome Ford, as well as rookies Quinshon Judkins and Dylan Sampson, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
A concussion prevented Strong from suiting up for the Browns' season finale in 2024, but now that he's presumably past the issue, the 2022 fourth-rounder -- who is in the last year of his rookie contract -- will look to retain his depth role in the team's backfield. Additionally, Strong remains an option in the return game, but as long as Judkins and Sampson stay healthy, it remains to be seen how much of a role in the offense Strong will see after logging 26 carries for 108 yards and a 14-104-0 receiving line on 22 targets in 14 games last year while working alongside Ford, Nick Chubb and D'Onta Foreman.

Daniel Schneemann CLE 2B
Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Homers in nightcap
7m agoSchneemann entered Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader as a pinch hitter and went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in a 9-1 win over the Nationals.
Schneemann pinch hit for third baseman Will Wilson and stayed in the game at second base. The home run was the third in the last four games and fifth overall for Schneemann, who has raked since mid-April. After opening the season with one hit in his first 19 at-bats, he's followed up by slashing .383/.442/.745 with nine extra-base hits, 10 RBI, five walks and 10 runs scored over 53 plate appearances. The 28-year-old has moved around the diamond, mostly playing second base but also getting time at third base, left field and center field.

Slade Cecconi CLE SP
Guardians' Slade Cecconi: Makes second rehab start
17m agoCecconi (oblique) allowed three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out two over four innings for Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.
Cecconi made his second rehab start for the Clippers, upping his pitch count to 61 (43 strikes). The injury cropped up during the middle of March, and the right-hander has been working his way back since then. He'll need at least one more rehab start before the Guardians consider Cecconi's next step.
-
Rhett Lowder CIN SP
Reds' Rhett Lowder: Debuts in ACL
35m agoLowder (forearm) allowed two runs on four hits while striking out five over three innings for the ACL Reds on Tuesday.
Lowder, who has been working his way back from an forearm injury since before spring training, made his 2025 debut in the Arizona Complex League. If the right-hander checks out okay Wednesday, Lowder's next step is to begin a rehab assignment at High-A Dayton.

Kyle Tucker CHC RF
Cubs' Kyle Tucker: Two more hits Tuesday
38m agoTucker went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in Tuesday's 14-5 extra-innings loss to the Giants.
After snapping a four-game hitting streak with an 0-for-4 performance Monday, Tucker picked things right back up Tuesday. It was the outfielder's third multi-hit performance over his last six appearances, pushing his season batting average up to .290. Tucker's career high in that category is .294, and he's been a well-rounded fantasy contributor this year with nine home runs and 31 RBI, both of which are tied for the team lead.
-
Dansby Swanson CHC SS
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Scores twice in loss
1h agoSwanson went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 14-5 extra-innings loss to the Giants.
Swanson and Kyle Tucker were the only Cubs with multiple hits as a ninth inning rally ultimately ended in defeat. The Chicago shortstop extended his hitting streak to eight games, during which time he's gone 14-for-30 with three home runs, five RBI and 10 runs scored. Swanson was batting just .181 with a .577 OPS before the recent hot streak, but he's now got more respectable .240 and .732 figures, respectively.
-
Austin Wynns CIN C
Reds' Austin Wynns: Starts at first base
1h agoWynns started at first base and went 2-for-3 with a double in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Atlanta.
Wynns, the Reds' third catcher, survived with a roster spot after Tyler Stephenson was activated off the injured list last week. That was partially as insurance for Stephenson, who has seen time at catcher and DH since returning, but also because Wynns had produced offensively. He's batting .417 with a 1.184 OPS, three home runs and 11 RBI through 13 games; however, his .545 BABIP suggests less productive days are coming.
-
Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Strong double-double in loss
6h agoAllen contributed 22 points (7-9 FG, 8-8 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 loss to the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Allen recorded his fourth double-double of the playoffs while adding at least three blocks for just the third time all season. With Evan Mobley sidelined due to an ankle injury, Allen played as the lone big, affording him an opportunity to play closer to the basket. There is no word on whether Mobley will return for Game 3, although given the Cavaliers now trail 2-0, he will likely be given until the last minute to prove his fitness.
-
Ty Jerome CLE SG
Cavaliers' Ty Jerome: Comes up short in spot start
6h agoJerome ended with two points (1-14 FG, 0-4 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists over 28 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 loss to the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Jerome moved into the starting lineup as a result of multiple absences from the regular rotation. Although it has been a breakout season for Jerome, he was unable to provide anything of value in what was a disappointing loss. Darius Garland has now missed four straight games and despite the urgency, could certainly be sidelined once again for Game 3. Jerome is likely to continue playing a key role but will need to increase his production with the series now shifting to Indiana.
-
Donovan Mitchell CLE SG
Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Game-high 48 points not enough
6h agoMitchell closed with 48 points (15-30 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 17-21 FT), five rebounds, nine assists, one block and four steals in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 loss to Indiana in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Mitchell was a force on the offensive end, scoring a game-high 48 points, albeit in a losing effort. The Cavaliers led for the entire game before going to sleep down the stretch. The fact the team was without three key pieces, namely Darius Garland (toe), Evan Mobley (ankle) and D'Andre Hunter (thumb), shouldn't be overlooked. However, given that Cleveland led by 20 points at one point, it will be viewed as one that got away.
-
Bennedict Mathurin IND SF
Pacers' Bennedict Mathurin: Pops for 19 points in win
6h agoMathurin ended Tuesday's 120-119 win over the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 19 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 20 minutes.
Mathurin has arguably his best game of the postseason, scoring 19 points as the Pacers somehow stole Game 2 in front of a disappointed Cavaliers crowd. Having appeared in six games during the playoffs, Mathurin's role seemingly changes from one game to the next. With that said, he has scored double-digits in two of the teams' three home games, a trend that he will look to continue Friday.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Buzzer-beater seals Game 2 victory
6h agoHaliburton notched 19 points (7-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and one block across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 win over the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Haliburton was at it again, helping the Pacers recover from a 20-point deficit to defeat the Cavaliers. Trailing by seven points with less than a minute remaining, Indiana launched a fierce comeback, capped off by a dagger three-pointer by Haliburton with less than two seconds left on the clock. Indiana will now return home with all the momentum, leading the series 2-0.
-
Aaron Nesmith IND SF
Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Strong postseason continues
6h agoNesmith closed with 23 points (8-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 120-119 victory over Cleveland in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Nesmith continues to play his best basketball of the season, scoring double-digits for the sixth straight game. He also added four combined steals and blocks, helping the Pacers to yet another nailbiting victory. The series will now shift to Indiana with the Pacers leading 2-0. While he doesn't always receive a lot of attention, you can rest assured Nesmith will continue to play a key role moving forward.
-
William Karlsson LV C
Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Garners power-play assist
6h agoKarlsson posted a power-play assist in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 1.
Karlsson tipped a shot by Shea Theodore that then went in after another deflection from Mark Stone. Over seven playoff contests, Karlsson has three points, 11 shots on net, five blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. The natural center is currently playing on the top line as a left wing. He seems to be adjusting well, and that role gives him a bit more scoring upside as long as he doesn't get shuffled back to middle-six duties.
-
Shea Theodore LV D
Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Contributes power-play assist
6h agoTheodore provided a power-play assist, three shots on goal, two blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 1.
Theodore's shot was tipped twice, with William Karlsson getting a piece before Mark Stone deflected it in for the opening goal at 2:13 of the first period. Through seven playoff outings, Theodore has five points, four of which have come on the power play. He's added 18 shots, 11 blocks and a minus-4 rating. While he should still be able to make an impact on offense, Theodore will be seeing heavy defensive minutes against the Oilers' top forwards throughout the second round.
-
Jack Eichel LV C
Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Nabs assist in Game 1 loss
6h agoEichel recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 1.
Eichel is on a four-game point streak with a goal and five assists in that span. He's bounced back well after opening the playoffs scoreless in three outings. The center has contributed a total of 21 shots on net, 14 hits, eight blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over seven playoff contests while centering the top line as usual.
-
Mark Stone LV RW
Golden Knights' Mark Stone: Two goals in Game 1 loss
6h agoStone scored twice, including once on the power play, and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 1.
Stone got credit for the first goal on a double-deflection, and he added a second tally on a feed from Jack Eichel. That was the extent of the Golden Knights' offense in the series opener for the second round, and the Oilers pulled off another comeback win. Stone has warmed up after starting the playoffs cold -- he has four goals and two assists over his last four games. The winger has added 18 shots on net, nine hits, nine blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over seven playoff outings.
-
Adin Hill LV G
Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Falters in series-opening loss
6h agoHill stopped 24 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 1.
The Golden Knights stormed ahead 2-0 early in the first period, but the offense stalled out after that. It wasn't enough of a lead for Hill, who gave up three goals in the third period, including two in the final 3:02. Hill has largely struggled in the postseason despite his 4-3 record, allowing three or more goals in four of those seven games, but the Oilers' offense is deeper and more dangerous than what the Wild had to offer in the first round. Expect Hill to get the nod again in Game 2 on Thursday.

Evander Kane EDM LW
Oilers' Evander Kane: Sets up game-winner
6h agoKane notched an assist, two shots on goal, five hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 1.
Kane set up a Zach Hyman goal with 3:02 left in the third period. The 33-year-old Kane has maintained a second-line role over the last four games, and he's been impactful in the playoffs after missing the entire regular season. The winger has two goals, two assists, 17 shots on net, 23 hits, four blocked shots, four PIM and an even plus-minus rating over six postseason appearances.
