The Washington Wizards have reportedly locked up their franchise player for years to come.

According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, the Wizards have come to terms on a contract extension with All-Star point guard John Wall that will pay him a total of $207 million over the course of the next six years as he's now under contract through 2023.

Washington had presented Wall with a contract extension offer at the start of free agency and the former No. 1 overall pick has apparently decided that he's confident that the franchise is headed in the right direction with the moves that they've made as he is set to approach the prime years of his career.

This past season, the 26-year-old point guard made 78 appearances for the Wizards and owned averages of 23.1 points to go along with 10.7 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 36.4 minutes per game.
